1. Who is the data controller?

The data controller is Franco Bagaglia, owner and editor of this personal website. For any privacy request, use the contact page or write to franco.bagaglia@umanesimodigitale.info.

2. What we process and why

This is an editorial, non-commercial website. We do not sell anything, we do not show advertising, and we do not share your data with marketing companies. When you browse the site and you have accepted the analytics option, we process the following data for audience measurement (understanding how many visitors we have, which pages are read, and from which countries):

• the pages you visit and the approximate duration of your visit;
• a random anonymous identifier stored in your browser (localStorage) so that you are counted only once;
• your country of origin, derived in real time from your IP address (your IP address itself is used only for this lookup and is never stored);
• the type of device you use (computer, tablet or mobile) and browser type, derived from the technical information your browser sends automatically.

All analytics are collected through our own first-party scripts hosted on this website. No third-party advertising or social networks receive your data from us.

3. Legal basis

The processing described above is based on your consent, expressed through the consent banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where applicable, Art. 4(11) GDPR and the ePrivacy rules). You can withdraw your consent at any time by using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer and choosing “Decline”, or by clearing your browser storage for this site. If you decline, no analytics data is collected.

4. Comments, contact forms and e-mail

If you use the contact form or write to us by e-mail, we receive only the information you voluntarily provide (for example your name, e-mail address and message). This data is used exclusively to reply to you, on the legitimate interest of answering your inquiry (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and is retained only as long as needed for that purpose.

5. Hosting and third parties

The website is hosted by IONOS SE on servers located in the European Union. For country detection, the server makes a transient lookup to the public service ip-api.com; we do not store the response together with your identity, and no persistent IP logs are kept by us.

6. Retention

Anonymous analytics events are stored as daily log files on the hosting server. They contain no IP address and no direct identifiers (the visitor identifier is a random string that cannot be linked back to you). The daily files are kept for as long as the site operates and can be deleted on request.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• request rectification or erasure;
• request restriction of processing or object to processing;
• receive your data in a portable format;
• withdraw consent at any time;
• lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) or with the supervisory authority of your country.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site or the law changes. The date at the top of the page always indicates the latest revision.
